Mrs. Pauline Boykin Harmon

Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Boykin Harmon are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, February 3, 2012, at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Locke officiating.  Interment will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Visitation Thursday 2-8 PM and Friday after 11 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Harmon, age 95 of Lebanon passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Quality Care in Lebanon.

Born February 25, 1916, in Wilson County, she is the daughter of the late German Boyd Boykin and Melissa Spears Boykin.  She retired from Texas Boot with thirty seven years service and was a member of the College Hills Church of Christ.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Harmon in 1985; two daughters, Carolyn Boyd Harmon and Bessie Sue Harmon; three sisters, Mary Jones, Anna Rhea Harmon, and Elizabeth Gann; and three brothers, Walter Boykin, G. N. Boykin, and J. W. Boykin.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Walter “Butch” and Lynda Harmon of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Stacy (Vickie) Harmon of Nashville; Tanya Lyn (Bruce) Wolf of Rapid City, SD; and Brandon (Christina) Harmon of Lebanon; three great grandchildren, C. J., Jimmy and Madeline; and a brother, Bill (Pauline) Boykin of Lebanon.

Pallbearers:  Ricky Miller, David Gann, Bruce Wolf, Brandon Harmon, Stacy Harmon, and Jimmy Killan.

Mr. Thomas C. "Tommy" Lea

Mr. Thomas C. “Tommy” Lea age 81 of Lebanon passed away Friday, January 27, 2012, at the University Medical Center.  He was born August 7, 1930, in Wilson County, TN to the late Robert Harry Lea Sr. and Ione Haley Lea.

He was a 1948 graduate of Lebanon High School where he played football, baseball and basketball.  He attended Tennessee Tech University where he played baseball. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War.  He was a former member of the Jaycees.  He owned and operated American Plumbing and Electric, Lea’s Gas Company, and was co-founder of the Hunter’s Point Golf Course.  An avid sports fan, he was one of the founding coaches of Babe Ruth Baseball in Lebanon.  He was a member of First Baptist Church for sixty-seven years, he served as a deacon and was a member of the choir for forty-nine years.  He was presented the Lifetime Christian Service Award at First Baptist in 2005.  He took an active part in the weekly sing-a-long at Elm Croft where he had made his home the past several years.  He was a charter member of the West Haven Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-nine years, Gwyndolen Love Robison Lea; brother, Harry Lea Jr. 

He is survived by three children:  Debbie (Wayne) Seger, Sandra Trager and Bob Lea; five grandchildren:  Austin and Kimbel Lea, David and Lindsey Trager, and Haley Seger.  Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, January 29, 2012, at 5 p.m. from the First Baptist Church with Rev. Don McElroy and Rev. Jonathon Richerson officiating.  Honorary Pallbearers:  Bill Bentley, Rev. Bob Evans, Dr. Morris Ferguson, Jim Lancaster, Jerry Triplett, Carroll Whitener, Clayton Lewis, Bobby Johnson.  Active Pallbearers:  Davis Trager, Austin Lea, Buzz Crockett, Jim Robison, Joel Barnes, Jeff Ford.  Private Interment Monday Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Saturday 3-7 p.m. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home and Sunday one hour prior to the funeral service at First Baptist Church. 

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Gideons International or Joseph Storehouse.

Mrs. Rose Davis Dillon

Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Davis Dillon are scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday, January 19, 2012, at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Owens officiating.  Interment will follow at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Wednesday 2-8 PM and Thursday after 11 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Dillon, age 73 of Lebanon passed away Monday, January 16, 2012, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

Born May 25, 1938, in Ohley, West Virginia, she is the daughter of the late Silas Buster and Luell Velma Carte Davis.    She was a homemaker and a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over forty four years, James Lowery “Jimmy” Dillon on June 20, 2004; daughter, Kim Dillon Frankenfield; two sisters, Beverly Davis and Jenny Bryant; and a brother, John Davis.

She is survived by two sons, Danny (Tammy) Dillon and Richard Dillon all of Lebanon; eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Jason, Adam, Miles, Lucas, Austin, Lyric and Harmony Dillon; five great grandchildren, Layla, Bella, Morgan, Keaton and John Dillon; seven sisters, Janet McPhail of Cabin Creek, WV; Kay Jeffries of Glasgow, WV; Charlotte Robinson of Lebanon; Gloria Lawrence of Lerona, WV; Pat Davis of Amherst, VA; Ada Keeney of Ohley, WV; and Phyllis Caldwell of Amherst, VA.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Carroll Oakland Elementary School.

Mrs. Virginia Bailey Voke

A Celebration of the Life of Mrs. Virginia “Ginny & Mommy” Bailey Voke are scheduled for 5:00 PM Friday, January 27, 2012, at the Gladeville Community Center with Rev. Robert Spickard officiating.  A reception will follow the service.

Mrs. Voke, age 95 of Gladeville passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012, at her home.

Born March 2, 1916, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she is the daughter of the late Allan and Virginia Foskey Bailey.  She was a homemaker and a Methodist.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Edward L. Voke; grandson, Keith Groton; and a sister, Beatrice Wenwrich.

She is survived by two daughters: Ginger (Bobby) Ambrose of Gladeville and Jan Bauer of Chippewa, Ohio; five grandchildren, Derek (Linda) Groton, Troy Groton, Shawn Groton, Tyler Newman, and Jessica (Mike) Hosey; 18 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
