Mr. Arvie Dean Kelley age 87 of Lebanon passed away September 22, 2026, at Hartsville Health and Rehab Center. Born September 6, 1939, in Macon County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Lee Arvle Kelley and Mary Elizabeth Stafford Kelley. He was raised on Kelley Ridge near the Willette Community. He was saved at an early age and was of the Missionary Baptist faith. He attended Town Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Lebanon until his health failed. By trade he was a skilled carpenter, having worked along side several of Lebanon’s prominent builders. Dean was a devoted husband and father and loved his grandchildren deeply. He enjoyed spending time with his family and after retirement attending the Lebanon Senior Citizen’s Center where he loved to play pool and corn hole.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Joyce Smith Kelley; five sisters: Ophelia and Bessie Kelley, Flossie Harpe, Gracie Hargis, Emogene Ellis; son-in-law, David Hemontolor.

Survivors include two children: Marty Dean (Lisa) Kelley and Pamela Denise Kelley; two grandchildren: Justin Seth Kelley and Rebecca Elizabeth (Paul) Styers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 25, 2026, at 12 Noon from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Eld. Garry Drennon officiating Interment will follow in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Friday 10 a.m. – 12 Noon at Ligon & Bobo.
