Funeral service for Mr. Ken Hood will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 28, 2026, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Pratt officiating. Interment Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Sunday 1-6 PM and Monday after 11 AM.

Mr. Hood, age 68 of Lebanon passed away September 23, 2026, at his home.

Born James Kenneth Hood Jr. on June 9, 1958, in Phenix City, Alabama, he is the son of the late James Kenneth Hood Sr. and Barbara Ann Hickman Hood. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Auburn University. He worked as an Account Executive in the trucking and air freight industry. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He loved his church and enjoyed his Sunday School Class. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father in law and mother in law, Alton and Ernestene Bane; and his sister in law, Nancy Bane.

He is survived by his wife of thirty nine years, Lori Bane Hood; daughter and son in law, Lauren & Jesse McCormick; sister, Karen Hood; sister and brother in law, Susan & Jay Fagan; brother in law, David Bane; and nephew, Dillon (Kendra) Bane.

Honorary pallbearers: Dr. William Littman, Keith Harris, Dr. Michael Harris, Mike Maynard, and the Dallas Polley Sunday School Class.

Active pallbearers: Jesse McCormick, David Bane, Dillon Bane, Jay Fagan, Eric Harris, and Stephen Harris.
