Miss Angelia Phillips, lovingly known as Angel, passed away September 17, 2026, just one day short of her 65th birthday on September 18th. Miss Angel worked with Prospect and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She had a wonderful personality that never knew a stranger. She made friends everywhere she went and truly was a special person.
Angel was preceded in death by her parents, Guy D. Phillips and Dorothy Neil Turner Phillips.
Survivors include her two brothers: Ricky (Jackie) Phillips, Rodney (Donna) Phillips; four sisters: Judy Dill, Kathy Pittman, Debbie Robinson, Lona (John) Derrick; she also leaves behind a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Miss Angel will be held Monday, September 21, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church, 214 Castle Heights Ave., with Pastor Jeff Pratt officiating. Interment will follow in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Sunday 1-4 PM at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home and Monday after 9 AM at Immanuel.
