Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Travis Lee Dedmon, a proud father, beloved son, and loyal friend, who left this world at the age of 42 on April 4, 2026.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Hermitage United Methodist Church with visitation starting one hour prior. Friends will be welcome to share memories at the service.

He was a proud and loving father to his two children, Camilla and Marshall, who were the center of his world. Whether on the soccer field or in everyday life, he found his greatest joy in sharing his passions with them—especially his love of the game, teaching them not just how to play, but how to play with heart.

He found peace and happiness in the outdoors, hiking and exploring nature, always with a sense of adventure. His faithful Irish setter, Simba, was never far from his side, and they enjoyed exploring together.

He had a deep love for travel and cherished the memories made along the way, including a special year spent living in Hawaii, where he embraced the beauty of the ocean and the rhythm of island life. The beach always held a special place in his heart—a place where he felt most at home. His goal, after becoming a father, was to take his children to every amusement park in the United States.

Professionally, he dedicated many meaningful years to the aquatics industry, a chapter of his life he held especially dear. The friendships he built and the experiences he gained during that time remained some of his most treasured. The last several years of his life he worked in sales, where his ability to build relationships aided him in success as a salesman.

He was a son, and a friend to many—known for his kindness, his laughter, and his ability to connect with others in a genuine way.

He was continually striving to deepen his relationship with God and live a life guided by purpose and compassion, to the best of his ability.

He is survived by his children, Camilla and Marshall of Mount Juliet; his parents Millie and Mike Gammons of Mount Juliet, and Louis and Diane Dedmon of Clarksville; his sister Nicole Gammons Starkey (Jared) of Mount Juliet; his aunt and uncle, Debbie and Wayne Mitchell of Boma; his cousins, Kelly (Charlie) Stiriz of Boma, Nick Mitchell (Liz Law) of Cookeville, Chaz and Anna Stiriz, and Stella Mitchell; and mother of his children, Lynnsey Coffey.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Anita Dedmon; maternal grandparents, Archie and Joanna Oakes Whitefield; and paternal grandparents, Bobby and Mae Gammons.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Hermitage United Methodist Church. The family welcomes friends to share memories at the service. Visitation with the family will be from 10 AM until the service time at 11 on Saturday.
