Mr. Thurman Earl Manners age 86 of Lebanon died September 22, 2016, at Trevecca Health Care.  He was born in Stewart County, TN, the son of the late Lonnie and Ida Lorene Milam Manners.  He retired from the Federal Reserve Bank in Nashville.  He was a member of Webb's Chapel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-nine years, Carolyn Jackson Manners; two sisters:  Alpha "Tennie" Gray, Lillian "Wig" Smith.  Survived by two daughters:  Cindy Gathings, Judy Carol Manners; two granddaughters:  Kristy (Ashton) Milan, Jessica Renee Gathings; two sisters:  Geneva "Jadie" (Howard) Crossland, Wilma (Larry) Woosley; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 25, 2016, at 1 p.m. from the Wilson County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Brody Ferrell officiating.  Visitation Saturday 3-7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.
