Funeral service for Mr. Steven Wayne Carey will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Joe Tomlinson officiating.  Interment Chapman Cemetery.  Visitation Thursday 10 AM until service.  Pallbearers: Steven Heath Carey, John Pennington, Chance Holder, Robert Hicks, Jimmy Chaffin, and Joe Scarpaci.

Mr. Carey, age 64 of Gordonsville passed away June 23, 2024, at his home.

Born July 10, 1959, in Wilson County, he is the son of the late Haskel Lee Carey and Patsy Louise Ash Carey.  He was a mechanical engineer.

He is survived by children: Steven Heath Carey, John Pennington, and Brittany (Chance) Holder; 5 grandchildren: Gannon, Zatanna, & Anakin Holder, Artemis & Bedford Pennington; brothers: Gary Carey, Billy (Connie) Carey, and Bobby Carey.
