Mr. Noel Douglas Benton, age 69, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully at his home August 27, 2025.  Born in Davidson County, September 9, 1955, he was the son of the late Edward Benton Jr. and Mary Stanford Spears. He was a graduate of Stratford High School in Nashville. He retired from The Tennessean/Nashville Banner where he worked in logistics and delivery.  He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Banks Benton; stepson, James Jeffrey Wren; two granddaughters: Mercedes (Devon) Allen, Kasandra Wren; five great-grandchildren.

A private graveside will be held at the Cross Plains Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
