Funeral services for Mrs. Muriel Evans Johnson will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Medlin officiating.  Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Saturday 9 AM until service at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Johnson, age 93 of Lebanon passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at her home.

Born December 10, 1921, in Jasper, Alabama, she is the daughter of the late Christopher Columbus Evans and Vassie Lindley Evans.  She retired from Clover Bottom where she worked as a LPN.  She was a member of Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Johnson Sr.; and two sisters, Beatrice Comer and Christine Houston.

She is survived by four children, James (Cindy) Johnson Jr. of Hermitage; Patty (Richard) Duch, Joe C. Johnson, and Johnny (Rene) Johnson all of Lebanon; sister, Freida Sullivan of Birmingham, AL; two brothers, V. C. (Annis) Evans of Arley, AL; and Clyde (Martha) Evans of Auburn, AL; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
