Funeral services for Mrs. Melvie Joan "Joann" Sands Dushek will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Eld. Garry Drennon officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Visitation Monday 4-8 PM and Tuesday after 10 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Dushek, age 76 of Lebanon passed away Friday, May 8, 2015, at her home.

Born May 27, 1938, in Giles County, she is the daughter of the late Whitt and Emma Newton Sands.  She was a graduate of Lynnville High School and was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald M. Dushek; and three brothers, Mahlon, Bernie & Chuck Sands.

She is survived by five children:  Lisa (Chris) Thompson, James (Cynthia) Dushek, Lori (Donny) Woodard, Brenda (Tom Lawson) Dushek, and Brian Dushek; two sisters, Shirley Sands and Carol (Allen) Rogers; 9 grandchildren, Mark Graves, Grant & Emma Grace Dushek, Miles (Sarah) Woodard, Tyler Woodard, Emily & Tommy Lawson, Victoria & Nicholas Dushek; I great grandchild, Ellie Graves.
