Miss Mary Elizabeth Stewart, age 93 of the Leeville Community, passed away December 6, 2023 at Summit Medical Center.  Born in Wilson County, August 29, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Jane Griffin Stewart.  She was a member of Hope Baptist Church.  She worked at Texas Boot for forty two years and finally retired work from Margie Anna Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by four brothers:  Ike, Cleveland, James Thomas, and Rufus Harrison Stewart.

She is survived by special cousin, Peggy (Donnie) Moore; sister-in-law, Doris Stewart; nephews, Joe (Kim) Stewart, Ricky Stewart; niece, Betty Jane (Steve) Gibson.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Will McReynolds officiating.  Visitation Friday 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Baptist Church.
