Mrs. Lucile Lane Powell, age 95, of Suggs Creek Community, Mt. Juliet, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017. Born in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Bertha Eakes Lane. She was a homemaker and faithful member of Center Chapel Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: son, James Nathan Powell; son-in-law, Richard VanDyke; three sisters: Mildred Rochelle, Dana Helton and Linda Maxey; two brothers: Earl and Raymond Lane.  Survived by her husband of seventy years, James Wesley Powell; two children:  Nannette Powell VanDyke, Troy (Ronie) Powell; sister, Jean Hammers; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Powell; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home, Lebanon, with Darrell Duncan and Andy Connelly officiating. Interment- Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Tuesday, December 5, 4-7 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the service at Ligon & Bobo.
