Funeral service for Mr. Johnny Lee Dixon will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Mills and Rob Lyles officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 PM and Thursday after 11 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Dixon, age 78 of Mt. Juliet passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

Born June 12, 1948, in Jackson County, he is the son of the late Sherman and Geraldine Shoulders Dixon. He was the Maintenance Director/Engineer for the Nashville Auto Auction where he retired after forty one years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Lee Dixon; sister, Evelyn Clark; two brothers, J. W. (Donna) Dixon and Richard Dean Dixon; nephew, Gary Dixon; and his best friend, Danny Wright.

He is survived by his wife of over fifty seven years, Linda Stewart Dixon; daughter, LaJuana (Bobby) Meadows; two grandsons, Justin (Malorie) Harrell and Briar Meadows; great grandsons, Cayden Harrell, Cameron Farmer, and Neyland Meadows; sister, Vickie (John) Billingsley; sister in law, Denise Dixon; special friends, Stacey & Shawn Hill; several nieces and nephews; many friends at Hardees; and his chicken fighting buddies.
