Graveside service for Mr. John William Harris will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home on Saturday 1-4 P.M. and Sunday after 12:30 P.M.  Pallbearers:  Phillip, Billy, Jason, Mike and Ricky Harris, and Richard Minchey.

Mr. Harris, age 92 of Lebanon passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Quality Care.

Born February 5, 1926, in Wilson County, he is the son of the late John Eatherly and Bertha Mofield Harris. He served in the United States Army during World War II.  He was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Flat Rock Church of Christ.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty six years, Mary Katherine Howard Harris on February 25, 2017; son, John Dalton Harris; four sisters, Elizabeth Schemel, Mildred Stone, Louise Smithwick, and Julie Minchey; and three brothers, Steve, Ray, and Fred Neal Harris.

He is survived by two sons, Phillip (Sue) Harris and Billy (Linda) Harris; three grandchildren, Sarah (Matthew) Davis, Kayla (Matt) Jarrett, and Jason (Tracy) Harris; four great grandchildren, Taylor & Marli Davis, Katie Harris, and Allie Jarrett; two sisters, Dot Smith and Kathleen Harris; and brother, Jim (Joann) Harris.
