Mr. John Eric Mears age 53 of Carthage passed away May 6, 2023, at Riverview Regional Hospital in Carthage.  He was the son of the late John Dudley Mears and Donna Faye Dill Mears.  He worked for Bentley's Heating and Air before becoming disabled.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Christopher Jason Mears; grandparents:  Nettie Irene Banes, James Walter Dill.

Survivors include:  sister, Stacey Nichole Nation; two nephews:  Eric Cummings, Chris Cummings; two nieces:  Taylor and Rachel Mears; several great nieces and great nephews; special friend, David Alexander.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
