Mr. John L. Filson age 95 of Lebanon died August 18, 2014.  He was a retired painter and construction worker.  Preceded in death by parents: Claude and Linnie Thompson Filson; wife, Geneva Garrett Filson; daughter, Betty Fistunenko; brothers:  J.B., Claudell, Leslie, Charles, William Filson.  Survived by three grandchildren:  Michael Anderson, Lloyd Anderson, Kendra (Luke) Hermon; two great-grandchildren:  Hunter and Tailor Lawrence.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at 1 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Rev. Don McElroy officiating.  Interment – Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Wednesday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
