There will be a gathering of family and friends of Mrs. Joan "Jody" Rassmussen Christensen on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Christensen, age 86 of Lebanon passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Quality Care.

Born August 8, 1928, in Omaha, Nebraska, she is the daughter of the late Harry and Hattie Hillesland Rassmussen.  She was a clerical worker before retiring, and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Allan Charles Christensen.

She is survived by two children, Hettianne (Leroy) Cekalla of El Paso, TX, and Harry Alfred (Annette Diane) Christensen of Lebanon; 4 grandchildren, DeeAnna Faye Christensen, Ted (Sally) Bisbee, Jon C. Cekalla, and Tom A. (Sarah) Cekalla; two great granddaughters, Adriana Cekalla and Kylie Thoen Bisbee; and sister, Helen (John) Jensen of Spirit Lake, Iowa.
