Funeral service for Mrs. Jo Ann Ashe Mynatt will be 4:00 P.M. Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Rev. David Hesson officiating. Interment Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Thursday 3-4 PM.

Mrs. Mynatt, age 89 of Lebanon passed away July 4, 2026, at her home.

Born July 16, 1936, in Wilson County, she is the daughter of the late Cecil Hatton Ashe and Annie Virginia Gay Ashe. She was educated in the public schools of Wilson County, and was a longtime employee of Hartmann Luggage Company. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Joseph “Joe” Mynatt on August 18, 2006; two sons, John Lyndon Mynatt and Thomas Gordon Mynatt; and siblings, Bettye Jean Dies, Lucille Gay Johnson, James Hatton Ashe, and Jerry Rhea Ashe.

She is survived by her sister, Linda Faye Austin; brother, John William Ashe; sisters in law, Gertrude (Steve) Harvey, Dot Ashe and Doris Ashe; nieces, Tracy Ashe, Jennifer Bhat, Melanie Botts, Teresa Buntin, Stephanie Harvey, Joyce Lawrence and Traci Robison; nephews, Ray Ashe, Matthew Austin, Timmy Grandstaff, Andy Lawrence, and Chuck Lawrence; numerous great nieces, and great nephews.
