Funeral service for Mr. Jimmy Taylor will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Gaines officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Visitation Saturday 11 AM – 1 PM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Taylor, age 85 of Lebanon passed away May 22, 2025, at Lebanon Health & Rehab.

Born August 31, 1939, in Wilson County, he is the son of the late Herman and Lucille Locke Taylor.  He was a 1957 graduate of Lebanon High School, and was a member of the Church of Christ.  He retired from AVCO.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Lynn Taylor and Marjorie Taylor; and a brother, Charles Eddie Taylor.

He is survived by his wife of over fifty one years, Peggy Holder Taylor; sisters, Joanne Goad and Cindy (Dewey) Jackson; niece, Holly (Mark) Connor; nephews: Steven (Stephanie) Goad, Raymond Highers, and Drew (Christina) Jackson; great nieces and nephews, Hunter Connor, Lily Goad, Taylor Jackson, Cole Highers, Brody Brown, Emily Brown, and Dylan Highers.
