Mr. Jerry Childress, age 73 of Liberty, TN, died August 20, 2016 at St. Thomas West Hospital.  Born in Sunflower County, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Wesley Frank Childress and Augazelle Robinson Childress.  He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  A salesman for many years, after retirement he worked as a custodian at DeKalb West  School in Liberty.

He is survived by wife of thirty-one years, Patricia Baumann Childress; three children:  James (Lisa) Childress, John (Twinkle) Childress, Laura Clark; seven grandchildren:  Jonathon, Patrick, Josh, Austin and Blake Childress, Zach and Taylor Clark; three sisters:  Joyce Cole, Carolyn (Charles) Gardner, Joanne (Harold) Crowley.

Funeral services are Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at 11 a.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Childress and Bro. Billy Hale officiating.  Interment – Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Monday 2-8 p.m. and Tuesday after 9 a.m.
