Funeral services for Mr. James Gipson will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. George Wallace officiating.  Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Saturday 3–7 PM and Sunday after 12 Noon at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Gipson, age 73 of Lebanon passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016, at his home.

Born June 9, 1943, in Grundy County, Tennessee, he is the son of the late Robert and Donna Layne Gipson.  He was a machinist by trade and was a supervisor at the Fred D. Wright Company for many years.  He attended New Life Ministries.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over fifty one years, Vernice Mae Campbell Gipson on January 14, 2013; and two sisters, Alene Conder and Evelyn Gipson.

He is survived by two sons, Greg Gipson and Keith Gipson; granddaughter, Rachel Gipson; great granddaughter, Kianna Gipson; sister, Levyonne Featherstone; three brothers, Robert (Berniece) Gipson, Frank (Joyce) Gipson, and Howard Dean (Rebecca) Gipson; and several nieces and nephews.
