Visitation with the family of Mr. Gerald Sanders Holman will be Friday, May 22, 2015, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home in Lebanon from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.

Mr. Holman, age 64 of Lebanon passed away at his home on May 14, 2015.

Born December 26, 1950, in Wilson County, he is the son of the late Richard Hobson Holman and Lou Dillard Holman.  He graduated from Lebanon High School, Cumberland University, and received a Degree in Fine Arts from Peabody College.  He was a member of First Baptist Church.  He taught algebra and chemistry at Castle Heights Military Academy and at Webb School prior to his disability due to Parkinson's disease.  Even with his disability, he continued to craft works of art in sculpture.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Lynn Holman.

He is survived by his brothers, Roger Holman of Lebanon and John Richard Holman of Pearland, TX; son, Adam Holman of Nashville; the mother of his son, Julia Story Holman; several nieces and nephews.
