Mrs. Gaynell Buchanan Dover, age 82, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at her home in Lebanon. She was born on April 20, 1943 to the late Roy Lee and Lula Mae White Buchanan. Her greatest joy was her family. She doted on her grandchildren and relocated from Alabama to Lebanon to be close to them. She was an amazing cook and baker, most known for her chocolate chip cookies and banana pudding.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Dover and sister, Helen Buchanan.

Gaynell is survived by her sons Bryan (Cindy) Dover and Kevin (Tiffany) Dover; grandchildren Zack (Gabi) Dover, Tyler (Nadia) Dover and Taylor Dover; great-grandchildren Baby Girl Tatum Dover due in March, Lola Elise Sulfaro and Baby Boy Dover due in September; sisters, Katherine Dupree, Lee Curl, Edith Buchanan, Diane Laney and Joyce Anderson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, March 9, 2026, from 1 pm – 5 pm at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home in Lebanon.
