Mrs. Fay Shelton Murray age 81 of Lebanon passed away July 1, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center following a brief illness.  A native of Wilson County, TN, she was born October 19, 1942, daughter of the late William Logue Shelton and Annie Laura Davis Shelton.  She attended Lebanon High School and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  During her working career she worked at Cedar Croft Home in Lebanon for many years, then at University Medical Center and before retiring she was a private sitter for the elderly.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Bobby Ray Murray; brother, Bobby Joe Shelton.

Survivors include:  Laura (Bobby) Vantrease, Melissa Sellars, Stephen J. (Anellys) Murray; three grandchildren:  Christopher Sellars, Jonathon (Annie) Sellars, Genesis Murray; two great-grandchildren:  Cameron and Kaylee Sellars; brother, Steve (Jennie) Shelton; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 5, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1702 Sparta Pike, Lebanon, with Bro. Terry Carver officiating.  Visitation Friday 10 – 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
