Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Elizabeth King Davis will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. John Davis officiating.  Interment will follow at Barton's Creek Cemetery.  Visitation Monday 3-7 PM and Tuesday after 11 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Davis, age 82 of Lebanon passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Bethesda Health Care in Cookeville.

Born January 28, 1933, in Wilson County, she is the daughter of the late James Robert and Josie Mae Mitchell King.  She worked for the City of Lebanon Police Department as a school patrol mom for many years and later worked at the Wilson County Jail as a cook.  She was a member of the Church of God.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Davis; two daughters, Martha Eden and Katherine Whitaker; grandson, James Ray Vaughn; and several siblings.

She is survived by two daughters, Dianna (Chris) Hixson and Audrey "Wezie" Awkerman; son, James Robert Davis II; 7 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
