Mrs. Edith Hix Brewington age 90 of Lebanon passed away July 20, 2023, at The Gardens in Mt. Juliet.  Born in Jackson County, TN, December 30, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Estelle McCoin Hix.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-five years, Alvin Lee Brewington on May 23, 2023; two children:  Phillip Alan Brewington and Sherry Lynn Maynard; three brothers:  John, Lewis and Harold; three sisters:  Dorothy, Mary and Georgie.

Survivors include five children:  Gwyn Phillips, Rosalyn "Susie" (Kerry) Keen, Rickey (Tammy) Brewington, Michael (Debbie) Brewington, Nelson (Kimberly) Brewington; thirteen grandchildren:  Dana Moore, Amy Gross, David Hankins, Matthew Phillips, Corey Phillips, Glenda Kisner, Tabatha Hottes, Daniel Brewington, Whitney Hoover, Kalyn Resha, Jordan Brewington, Shonda Gray, Beth Lamb; sister, Paulette (Bob) Warner; seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 3 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Gordon Lee and Bro. John Davis officiating.  Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Pallbearers:  Matthew and Corey Phillips, David Hankins, Daniel, Nelson and Michael Brewington.  Visitation Sunday 1 – 3 p.m.
