Funeral services for Mrs. Dovie Sams Foster will be 1:00 PM Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Eld. Garry Drennon officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Visitation Friday 2 – 8 PM and Saturday after 10 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Foster, age 78 of Lebanon passed away June 3, 2015, at her home.

Born December 28, 1936, in Scott County, she is the daughter of the late Coy Alexander Sams and Ada Jane Ipock Sams.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Foster whom she married October 16, 1950; son, Larry Foster; brother, Wiley Sams; and two sisters, Cory Reed and Juanita Sams.

She is survived by her children, Allen (Lydia) Foster, Leslie Foster, Carolyn (Wayne) Hale, Marty Foster, Shelia Foster, and Daniel (Lucy) Foster; daughter in law, Annie Foster; grandchildren, Tina Pahrman, Cindy Brownlee, Bobby Foster, Kendra Maddox, Jackie Pahrman, Rebecca Marks, Shane Foster, and Jackie Foster; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Geneva Burke and Maxine Berryman; brother in law, Rouster Reed; and sister in law, Joyce Sams.

Pallbearers: Elvis Huff, Allen Foster, Danny Foster, Lydia Foster, Marty Foster, Keith Maddox, Chris Brownlee, and Bobby Foster.
