Funeral services for Ret. Mst. Sgt. Claude Wilson Williams will be 1:00 PM Friday, July 25, 2014, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Miller officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Thursday 4 – 8 PM and Friday after 12 Noon at Ligon & Bobo.

Mr. Williams, age 90 of Mount Juliet, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Quality Care.

Born August 9, 1923, in Wilson County, he is the son of the late Lonnie Wilson Williams and Bessie Lillian Ellis Williams.  He was a Baptist and was a Master Mason with Mount Juliet Lodge #642 F&AM.  He had twenty five years' service in the Navy and Air Force, serving during World War II, and worked at AVCO for eighteen years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by beloved son, Larry W. Williams; brothers, James & Harold Williams; and a sister, Patty Brown.

He is survived by his wife of nearly seventy years, Mary Elizabeth Warren Williams; two children, Sandra J. Williams of Hermitage; and Garry W. (Lynn) Williams of Tuckers Cross Roads; special daughter in law, Lisa Williams of Hendersonville; 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren.
