Memorial service for Mr. Claborn Harris Alsup will be 1:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Jon Akin officiating.  Visitation Saturday 11 AM til service.

Mr. Alsup, age 89 of Lebanon passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Born April 3, 1925, in Norene, he is the son of the late Samuel Earl and Nannilee Hall Alsup.  He worked in maintenance for American Building in California for many years.  He was a member of Rocky Valley Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gertie Madsen; brother, Wilbur Alsup, and two sisters, Margaret Pass and Sarah Porter.

He is survived by three sons, Fred (Sai) Alsup of El Monte, CA; Michael Alsup of Carmel, CA, and Jerry (Cynthia) Alsup of Redmond, OR; two brothers, Herbert Alsup of Waterford, MI and Wallace (Sue) Alsup of Lebanon; two sisters, Thelma Manning of Lebanon and Gail (Bill) Evans of Clarkston, MI; grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Alicia, Mariasa, Diana, Landon and Paterik; great grandchildren, Makai, Maia, and Maylea; and special friend, Natalie Jarrard of Lebanon.
