Funeral service for Mrs. Christina Houck Howard will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 4, 2026, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Shelby officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Monday 10 A.M. until service.

Mrs. Howard, age 88 of Lebanon passed away April 30, 2026, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.

Born June 20, 1937, in Corbett, New York, she is the daughter of the late Raymond W. Houck Sr. and Grace Elizabeth Palmer Houck. She served in the United States Air Force, and was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. She retired from K-Mart after twenty years where she had worked in personnel in Human Resources and was a supervisor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty four years, Melvin H. Howard; daughter, Debbie (Billy) Hamilton; and two brothers, Raymond Houck Jr., and Irving Houck.

She is survived by three children: Mindy (Ricky) Knight, Jeff (Vicki) Howard, and Tammy (Bobby) Crook; eight grandchildren: Nick (Jamie) Hamilton, Chris (Brittany) Hamilton, Joshua (Stephanie) Hoffman, Chad (Mallory) Hoffman, Megan (Dusty) Gravens, Chrissa Howard, Hunter (Megan) Dixon, and Spencer Dixon; and 16 great grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers: Ladies Sunday School Class of Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Claudine Wair, Dr. Erica Knox, Larry Brown, and Wayne Metcalf.

Active pallbearers: Josh Hoffman, Hunter Dixon, Spencer Dixon, Nick Hamilton, Chris Hamilton, and Jeff Howard.
