Funeral service for Mrs. Birdie Pruitte Spivey will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Tyler Alverson and Phil Randolph   officiating.  Interment Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Monday 4 –8 PM and Tuesday after 11 AM.

Mrs. Spivey, age 87 of Lebanon passed away September 14, 2024, at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital.

Born May 4, 1937, in Wilson County, she is the daughter of the late Albert Bates Pruitte and Molly Lee High Pruitte.  She was a homemaker and a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty nine years, Ralph E. Spivey on January 19, 2002; sister, Annie Hardin; and seven brothers, James, Cordell, Louis, Elisha, Robert, Jack, and John Pruitte.

She is survived by two children: Pat (Perry) Knowles and James (Carolyn) Spivey; grandson, Peyton Allen Knowles; and special friends, Lisa Bell, Dr. Kirstie & Deanna Finch

Pallbearers: Bobby, Johnny, Bruce & John Albert Pruitte, Mike & Ricky Hardin.
