Funeral services for Mr. Alton Bane will be 10:00 AM, Friday, June 10, 2016, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Owens officiating.  Interment Wilson County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation Thursday 4–7 PM and Friday after 9 AM at Ligon & Bobo .

Mr. Bane, age 79, of Lebanon passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Tennova Health Care in Lebanon.

Born April 22, 1937 in Statesville, Tennessee, he is the son of the late Ardle and Lottie Jaco Bane.  He retired from Ross Gear after thirty seven years and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for over fifty years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Williamson and a brother, Gobel Bane.

He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Ernestene Eddins Bane; son and daughter in law, David and Nancy Bane; two daughters and sons in law, Lori and Ken Hood and Susan and Jay Fagan; two grandchildren, Lauren Hood and Dillon Bane; and two brothers, Virgil Bane and Robert Bane.
